@thom.code: Part 6 ~ Every USB Port Color Explained That black port on your laptop charges your phone so slowly the battery drains faster than it fills. The blue one next to it is ten times faster but still can't charge a tablet properly. The yellow one keeps delivering power even when your laptop is completely off. And the red one could mean two completely different things depending on who made your computer. USB port colors were supposed to make things simple — look at the color, know what you're getting. In practice, some brands use red for always-on charging, others use it for their fastest port, and some use it for both at the same time. Green usually means Qualcomm Quick Charge, unless it's a Razer product where green just means Razer. And the newest USB generation dropped colors entirely and switched to a connector you can finally plug in on the first try. Eight USB port colors decoded by what they actually tell you about speed, power delivery, and charging — and when the color is lying to you and you need to check the label instead. ----------------------------------------------------------------- #USBExplained #USBPorts #TechExplained #PCGuide
