My first record player in the 70s, a Christmas present from my loving parents. They knew how much I was into music as a kid, a passion of mine that started the day I was born. The record player is a portable GE Mustang II with detachable speakers. I absolutely loved it. When I got a little older, I tore the turntable part off of it. I had it connected to an amplifier using the turntable part as a standalone. I used it like that for years and I was very happy. Yes just be happy with what you own and have fun. Make those memories.
