@ty.prompts.ai: Project NOMAD is 36k stars, Apache 2.0, and it is the closest thing to downloading the internet onto hardware you own. It is a Command Center that installs and manages a stack of containerized tools for you: offline Wikipedia and medical references through Kiwix, Khan Academy courses through Kolibri, local AI chat through Ollama with document upload and semantic search through Qdrant, offline regional maps through ProtoMaps, plus CyberChef and local notes. The content picker is the part people underestimate. The complete Wikipedia with all images and media is 99.6 GB, the compact version is 6 million articles in 11.1 GB, and a quick reference build of the top 100,000 articles is 313 MB, so it scales to whatever disk you actually have. Install is one script on Debian or Ubuntu, then a browser at port 8080. Two honest things before you start. It ships with no authentication at all, by design, and the maintainers say plainly it is not built to be exposed to the internet. And it is not a Raspberry Pi project: minimum is 4 GB of RAM, but to actually run the AI they recommend 32 GB and an RTX 3060 or better. Save this one. Repos: 1.
