Yesterday a huge chunk of the internet went down at once. Downdetector lit up for OpenAI, Claude, Grok and Cursor all at the same time, and people on X started asking whether Astra had escaped its sandbox and taken out the AI data centres. Realistically it was almost certainly a shared infrastructure or provider issue rather than one model doing it, since these companies rely on a lot of the same underlying services, so when one piece breaks everything appears to break together.
