@amy_explores: Replying to @Ak_gone_fishing Right now through the end of September we are in the peak dinoflagellate summer season. When the water cools with fall arriving, we will start to see more comb jellies in the water (a different, but equally cool, kind of bioluminescence). For a more detailed look at timing, it takes about 30 minutes for the bioluminescence to start showing up after sunset. The longer the sun’s been down, the brighter the bioluminescence. So, 10:00pm-12:00am are awesome times to get out on the water*. *Many launch sites require a permit to be out this late, so be sure to book with an organization (like @BK Adventure) that has these permits and know when and where to go for the glow ✨ Hope that helps! #nature #explore #adventure #florida #bioluminescence
