I’m struggling because at 35 I still think that maybe I’ll meet someone and have biological kids with them and idk when this thought has to change 😭

I have a contrary experience. I’m SMBC at 41. Got pregnant on my first FET with 40yo eggs because the frozen ones didn’t work. I got a job in big tech to fund the whole thing. I didn’t pay for IVF and I still had IVF budget and embryos left for a second child if I wanted. Company paid for everything including my known donor related costs. I know I’m a really lucky case, but I also don’t think giving young women fear is right. I made so many bad decisions in my life because of this fear of a ticking bio clock that in my case, turned out to not be an issue at all.

Pregnancy Over Forty :
I appreciate this message very much. When I was in my 30s, somebody advised that I freeze my eggs. But I really thought I would meet someone and start a family. I did not become a mother until 47. Yes mine was a natural & surprise conception. YAY!! But I would tell young ladies now look into freezing your eggs. It just adds a little extra reassurance.

Yes! SMBC here and also had my daughter at 41 after many rounds of IUI and IVF. I always say my only regret with this process was not starting it earlier.

Thank you for being honest and educating other women! 👏 It is incredible hard, expensive and you need a lot of luck in your 40s.
