After finding Nemo came out, there were so many sales of clown fish and it devastated the wild clown fish population as they tried to keep up with demand. After 50 shades came out (both the book and the movie) many people tried to emulate their relationship. The issue being that it was a horrible take on what a bd$m relationship should look like (read: abus1ve) and many women found themselves in horrible situations because of it. Slenderman was a stupid scary story to tell your friends, but two girls attempted to murd3r their friend in his honor. Video games aren’t real at all, but people (mainly men but not always) get so emotional over them that they punch hole in walls, destroy property and beat their significant other or children.
