bro the paperwork nightmare begins 😆 yeah the software like Xero is just basically to keep record of your invoices ,receipts expenses ,assets, revenue track reports etc. yoh my guy theres alot to learn there but inshallah youll understand it much better when you actually start doing it...but yeah keep those bank statement transactions, expenses whatever matching your softwares data exactly Because some accountants from experience with dealing with this .I work a Americans software called zoho but zero is easier to work with essentially..they don't like a stack of filing admin waiting for them they just Wana do you reconciliation and journals lol ... very interesting and fun stuff to learn really but the amount of times I had to clear my software and start from scratch because of piled up admin and errors flagged by the accountants ..but you right on track bruh it's start with the learning.

Most accountants, especially ones who you only pay when you need financials and submissions will require you to have sage etc where you do your books and allocate spend/income to categories - giving someone a bank statement where references don’t make any sense and you don’t have your receipts or invoices as records is going to be a huge mess!

There’s also a newer platform called Stub, haven’t used it yet as my accountant is on Sage, but it’s geared more to South African small businesses
