For the layoffs that's not even really on her because the company was so tucked before she got there that I cant even blame that on her because they definitely needed restructure. It sucks those people had to be layed off but I would blame the previous CEO who put them in that position not the new one who came in and was basically forced to try and recoup losses

Yeah I knew this was fishy. A lot of people believed this was Xbox saying "we're not getting rid of physical media" when everything she said has led me to believe the exact opposite. The disc to digitial license is just there clearly so people won't have to re-buy them. Asha knows how to word it just right though, I'll give her that.

Yeah, Xbox is 100% playing in people’s faces. If PlayStation does not back down, Xbox will have no choice but to follow suit. The Disc to Digital is just a way to soften the blow. The part most people won’t like is that whether or not the next Xbox even has a disc drive is almost completely up to publishers. If come 2028 they all say that they don’t want to support discs, Xbox is not putting a disk drive in the console.

This should’ve been a feature like 10 years ago. Secondly this is just so the people who have physical games now can transition their library to digital before Xbox releases the next console that’s disc-less

Digital only is INEVITABLE. There is no point even fighting it! The next generation of gamers and PC Gamers have long moved away from disks. Rather than clinging on and trying to make them support physical media, you need to make them open their platform to third-party stores - like on PC, like the EU has forced Apple to do - to allow for competition. “Digital Only” isn’t inherently bad, but the version PS & XBOX are pushing where they can monopolise sales IS.

Might be wrong about this one. It’s been confirmed that although it is tied to your account, the disc can be given to someone else and the license would be tied to that account instead. So it can still be sold. Might actually be a good thing.
