@khaledsegypttours: 🐎👑 RAMSES II INSPIRED — THE PHARAOH, THE HORSE & THE POWER OF ANCIENT EGYPT 🇪🇬 This dramatic image captures the power and majesty of an Egyptian pharaoh on horseback, surrounded by symbols of ancient Egyptian kingship, protection and divine power. Although this is modern artwork, it appears to be inspired by the military imagery of Ramesses II (c. 1279–1213 BC), one of Egypt’s most famous and powerful pharaohs. ⚔️ Ramesses II was a warrior king, and his monuments contain some of the most spectacular military scenes ever created in ancient Egypt. His famous depictions of the Battle of Kadesh show him charging into battle, demonstrating his strength and courage while defeating Egypt's enemies. ☀️ The winged sun disk, ☥ ankh, falcon imagery and royal crown seen in this artwork all evoke the religious and royal symbolism of ancient Egypt. 🐴 BUT HERE'S THE HISTORICAL TWIST… This modern artwork shows the pharaoh riding directly on a horse. Although horses were important to the Egyptian military, surviving royal battle scenes usually show Ramesses II fighting from a chariot rather than riding directly on horseback. The famous Battle of Kadesh scenes at places such as Abu Simbel, Luxor and the Ramesseum portray Ramesses II standing in his chariot as his horses charge into battle. So rather than being an authentic ancient depiction of Ramesses II, this should be viewed as a modern artistic interpretation inspired by Ramesses II and the powerful military artwork of the New Kingdom. ✨ Imagine seeing these scenes carved into the temples of Egypt over 3,000 years ago — telling the world that the pharaoh was not simply a king, but the protector of Egypt and a figure chosen by the gods. 🇪🇬 Ancient Egypt wasn't just a civilisation. It was a world of kings, gods, warriors and stories carved into stone for eternity. 📍 Come and discover the Egypt of the pharaohs — and see history come to life. #fypviralシ #Egypt #History #bucketlist #Travel
