He is NOT selfish.. he literally refused to die because he wanted to help the others to defeat kokushibo while his lower half was cut off and his arm was severed. If anything shinobu was selfish. She didn’t think of kanao when she committed suicide snd put her anger and revenge first

Okay I agree with you with some of your stament, its true that the Fandom babies him ALOT and it gets to a point and yes he is able to make his own decisions everyone can. But when you said he is Selfish and almost committed Hom!c!de? First, I can 100% tell you Muichiro is NOT selfish, and I can see if you think he is because of the Fandom sometimes but a example I can give of him not being selfish is in his own death, instead of being scared or wanting to live longer than others, he was worrying about not being useful or not being of much help in other words, mind you a 14 YEAR OLD should never think this way, especially when they're dying. Anyways, in the Hom!c!de part is where I dont understan, I think you mean the Kotetsu scene but not sure, that was NOT a hom!cide, I can reassure you he wasnt going to harm kotetsu in any way, I see why you think he would, especially when a kid (who has trauma) is about to 'hit' another kid. Well for this Muichiro took some of Yuichiro's personality (not saying yui would harm anyone) and he became slightly more impatient, he was most likely going to yell or show his impatience to Kotetsu, but once again I REASSURE you he wasnt going to hit him let one K1ll him that sounds absurd especially over a doll's key and Muichiro wouldn't do that if you actually think about it. No hate this is mostly because im bored ✌️

What you’re saying is true but also false at the same time because yes Muichiro is someone who is very independent but saying that he IS selfish is completely wrong we’ve already seen him worry about people close to him multiple times like Ubuyashiki or even other Demon Slayers during the training and I’m assuming you’re calling him selfish because of the scene in the Swordsmith Village where he hesitated to save Kotetsu but you have to remember that the Swordsmith Village was literally being attacked so he risked losing many more people if he saved just one child it was a harsh way to react but it was understandable and also this was a lost Muichiro who didn’t even know who he was anymore I don’t want to defend everything he did because I know what he did wasn’t necessarily right but he was someone who was lost he was almost empty because he had lost his memories since he was amnesiac it was like he was an empty shell of himself and what I mainly mean is that Muichiro is a Hashira and his job is to save lives so how can he be selfish when his entire job is literally to save people😭

I agree that he isn’t a baby and makes his own decisions and that he almost committed homicide, but he didn’t almost let koketsu get killed for a selfish reason 😭 he literally stated that saving him would be a low priority because koketsu isn’t a really a swordsmith and since the whole village was under attack his top priority would be to find and eradicate the demon and protect the village chief. While that is still a shallow view that’s most likely what he was taught, yes he isn’t a baby but he’s still a child. Whilst he can make his own decisions and is mature for his age his brain is still one of a child’s, it’s still impressionable, he’s still immature at times. His reasoning, whilst it may not be moral, was just most likely what he was taught to do and him trying to make a quick logical decision as a hashira in an increasingly chaotic situation.

I’m agreeing with an everyone in the comments, sorry Gng. But I believe calling him selfish because he would have risked many others dying just to save one child in the swordsmith village arc doesn’t make sense, it was a hard decision for him too because even he was overthinking it. Not saying you a larger I’m not gonna assume you are based off of one thing you said, but I just wanna clear that up because it seem you misunderstood that scene. Yes, muichiro isn’t some little kid that needs to be babied, he can in fact make his own decisions but that doesn’t make him selfish because of the one time he almost didn’t save a 10 year old for the sake of an entire village.
