The film troll 1986 is very similar to Harry Potter even the main characters name is also called Harry Potter. The books the secret of platform 13 and the worst witch are very similar. After looking through these resources it certainly questions whether rowlings books are even an original idea.

At work the other day a, cis male, colleague watched the new Harry Potter show trailer then asked the room who was watching it, I said no specifically cause of JK and her views, and our other non-binary colleague also said no for same reasons, and this guy went “fair…. I’m still gonna watch”. Like. Read the room

I got married in 2016 I was so obsessed with HP I told everyone before I was going to have a thyme wedding and it be HP for me it turned into a blessing in disguise that my husband really didnt like hp and we whent with a gaming thyme and were more subtle about it . I dont think I chould look at my wedding pictures today if it was the dream wedding I wanted growing up

she lives in Scotland and she could have used her women's fund to bankroll the campaign behind the justice reform bill that aimed to make the experience of survivors going through the Scottish court system for sexual violence less traumatic and more likely to secure a conviction. not a fucking peep from Ms rowling. we got a watered down version of the bill that I'm not sure is going to help, despite the hard work of advocates in Scotland. every time someone claims she's a feminist defending women I want to rip my fucking head off because she doesn't give a fuck about actual victims of SA. she's just a bigot. end of.
