@val_foche: You might tell me that I understood whimsy totally wrong. However, when it first started trending on social media, wasn’t it about embracing your desire for creativity and making art? Creating something purely for the joy of the process, enjoying your hobbies, showing your unique creations. Also something to replace scrolling with. As for the aesthetic, whimsy was about nature, forests, animals, even fairies. Something rooted in the earth. I have nothing against bedazzling things, as long as they’re not one-time use items. Ideally, if you reuse the rhinestones, which is pretty easy, especially if they’re big. I keep and reuse the rhinestones I use for my makeup looks, even very small ones. But what’s with the trend of bedazzling everything in the same style? Where’s the creativity? Where’s the whimsy? How is it whimsymaxxxing if it’s the same style, the same rhinestones on face masks, bodies, and single-use cups? That’s not whimsy.
