one of the more inconsistent awards, FMVP is more team reliant than the MVP is, there are cases in which 2nd options and more of role players get the FMVP because the superstar has a bad series, sick, injury and etc. while the MVP award is season long, therefore there is no way a role player wins it over the superstar. Sure team record matters in MVP conversations but if ur team wins a lot of regular season games, it means that the superstar on the team is legit. Ring culture killed basketball

FMVP is better because it is a more consistent trophy, it has 2 requirements: 1. Win the NBA final 2. Be the best player of that winning team the MVP meanwhile is very inconsistent with voter fatigue, media, etc.
