I'm 5 months postpartum and this was my 3rd c-section. This was the hardest one both physically and mentally. The pain of even moving slightly was excruciating. trying to deal with everything mentally was a struggle, especially trying to keep it together infront of my other 2 children. I didnt want to be alone in fear of something happening to me, so when my partner went back to work I found it very hard to cope. My sister and brother inlaw were a huge help! Don't know what I would've done without their help, especially with the other 2 children. my c-section also got infected and I had to have antibiotics via a drip, but then had to switch to tablet form because my arm started to swell because their was a blockage. one side of my c-section would not close and kept bleeding. Also had a build up of fluid behind my c-section. so I could barely walk to go to the toilet. I had to go for a scan, which was done on and around my c-section, that was traumatising! Their was just blood all over me. Ontop of that the lady doing the scan was not very empathetic, she kept complaining about the blood on the scanning wand and kept using the word disgusting. so that was a horrible experience. I was cleaning myself up in tears behind a curtain and couldn't even put my underpants back on. luckily their was a trainee in the room, who helped me do that. Everytime I think about it all I end up crying. its a long and hard process but alhamdulillah Allah swt got me through it.

Sending you lots of love as part of the c section club 💕 recovery is definitely way harder than people made it seem! Does the random spotting and pain go away by 5 months?

Never related to something so much 😢 all I hear people talking about the positives and how they recovered within a few days and were up and out the house.
