Either way, nobody dared approach him as he stalked through the corridor that afternoon. “Merlin,” someone whispered. “He looks pissed.” “He always looks pissed.” “Do you think he killed someone?” Mattheo heard them. He didn’t care. Because underneath his oversized Slytherin hoodie, something moved. He immediately stopped. His terrifying expression disappeared as he glanced down. A tiny black head poked out from beneath the fabric. Two little paws grabbed the edge of his hoodie. Mattheo sighed. “No.” The baby Niffler blinked up at him innocently. “You’re supposed to stay hidden.” Tiny squeak. His expression softened. “Don’t give me that look.” Another squeak. Mattheo glanced around quickly before carefully tucking the tiny creature closer against his chest. “…Fine.” He continued walking. Students immediately scattered again. Completely unaware that the terrifying son of the Dark Lord was currently whispering into his hoodie— “If you steal my rings again, I’m putting you back where I found you.” A tiny paw appeared.
