The Development Followed Concerns Raised By The Martins Vincent Otse Initiative (MVOI), Headed By Verydarkman, After Abubakar Hassan Approached The Initiative Over K!dney R€moval. Hassan Had Earlier Reportedly Approached Verydarkman With His Story, Saying That His Friend, Emmanuel Odeh, Dece!ved Him And Lvred Him To A Medical Facility. According To The Police, Emmanuel Odeh, Who Was Reportedly A V!ctim Himself In 2022, Is Now A Svspect For Recruiting And Lvring Other People Into S€lling Their Kidneys. The Police Alleged That Odeh Recruited V!ctims Under Fals€ Pret€nces And Connected Them With People Seeking Kidney Don0rs. The V!ctim, Abubakar Hassan, Claimed That His Friend Emmanuel Odeh Told Him That His Kidney Matched That Of A Recipient And Took Him To Wellington Clinic. Hassan Further Says That After They Signed Some Documents, They Were Later Given Money In Dollars Around 10 P.M. To 11 P.M. The Nigeria Police Force Said Operatives Of The Force Intelligence Department (FID) Special Tactical Squad(STS), Acting On Credible Intelligence, Carried Out A St!ng Operation At Altabalefi, Karu Local Government Area, At About 6:00 P.M., Leading To The Arr€st Of Four Svspects. However, A Renal Tran$plant Consultant At The Facility Maintained That The Procedures Were Conducted With The Donors’ Consent And Said The Facility Had Conducted Five Kidney Tran$plant Cases Since January. The Police Said The Svspects Will Face Pros€cution As Investigations Continue, Str€$sing That Ill€gal 0rgan Harv€sting And Tr¥ff!ck!ng Remain Cr!m!nal Off€nces In Nigeria.
