@siadvance: A utility pole snapped at its base and crashed into the roadway in Ocean Breeze on Friday, bringing down a tangle of overhead wires near the corner of Olympia Boulevard and Liberty Avenue. Wires serving at least 10 homes were seen drooping across vehicles, the street and the sidewalk. FDNY crews and utility workers were on the scene Friday afternoon.
