People don't understand white is a legal status not a race, so Hispanics, middle eastern, north Africans are also considered white on a U.S census or they were I think that is being changed but for a long time that is how it was!!

There is no separation of Latino's on the federal level. Believe me, white people would love to not be categorized the same as Latino's . The numbers are always skewed because of it.

As a former CO we dont ask political affiliation. Also of note is Hispanics and Arabs are listed as White/Caucasian. There is a sublisting for Hispanic/Latino but not for Arab.
