Anytime I’ve changed the indoor TXV I’ve ALWAYS changed the Filter drier. Depending on the job, I’d also change the Evap coil, Condensing coil and Outdoor TXV. That way, you save yourself from any future problems and issues down the road; but again, it’s a case by case scenario. At MINIMUM, change your TXV and filter drier.

the 6 or 8 i have done . about 6, the powerhead lost its charge. twice i had a stuck valve due to sludge
