WHY CR7 REMAINS THE GOAT… Let me make this clear: Cristiano Ronaldo is not perfect, and no footballer is a god. But greatness is about what you achieve, how long you sustain it, and how you rise again under pressure. Football is ultimately about putting the ball in the net. Goals win matches. Goals win trophies. Yet people somehow hate CR7 for being one of the greatest goalscorers football has ever seen. When Ronaldo scores, they move the argument. Suddenly, they start shouting “assists!” But scoring goals is not a crime—it is one of the hardest and most important jobs in football. I have watched Messi fans troll Ronaldo for every bad game, every missed chance and every defeat. But when Messi has a terrible performance, suddenly everybody becomes blind. A whole World Cup final went to 120 minutes and Messi had no shot at all—not even one shot on target. Yet his fans want the world to pretend bad performances never happen. And let’s talk about MLS. After the World Cup, Messi’s team went through five straight MLS losses. Where were the endless memes and trolling then? Why is it only Ronaldo who must be attacked whenever things go wrong? The hypocrisy is what annoys me. Messi fans talk about humility but ignore angry moments, arguments and fights when things are not going well. They want one player presented as a perfect saint and another as the villain. We are not stupid—we watch football too. Ronaldo has proved himself across different leagues, different countries, different managers and different football cultures. He has delivered in massive games and continues to compete and score at an age when most footballers have already disappeared. And one thing I will never forgive is the level of toxicity from some online trolls who even mocked Ronaldo over losing his baby. 💔 Football banter has limits. Trolling a father over the death of his child is not banter—it is simply cruel and inhuman. So when I defend CR7, I am not saying he never had bad games. Of course he has. I am saying his bad games should not erase an entire career, while another player’s bad games are hidden behind excuses and fairy tales. the future Super Ballon d’Or is CR7⭐️
