The price you pay for ignoring your gut feeling can be far more expensive than you ever imagined. Deep down, I knew in my gut all along. The signs were there. My intuition was speaking to me, but my heart kept choosing to ignore it. I wanted to believe in people, in promises, and in the future I thought I was building. And ultimately, that decision cost me — financially, emotionally, physically and mentally. Some of those costs can be recovered. Some can be healed with time. And some consequences may stay with me forever. In certain ways, I will always pay a price for staying too long, trusting too much and ignoring what I already knew deep inside.
