I’m not saying every booktocker does it but the fact that some of them are advertising books that are genuinely trash and they all say the same generic things about it makes me feel like they haven’t even read the books because I have read some of the ones that are recommended and they are absolute trash. I won’t even read books that are advertised by half of the popular booktockers just because they’re almost always terrible.
