This just isn’t that hard to solve normally. There are plenty of hard problems. This isn’t one though, and if someone needs a hack to get this answer, they should probably study more or steer clear of any math-related careers. Memorizing hacks will catch up with you when you don’t want it to. I guess if you’re just trying to get through the SAT, then whatever, but I’d hate for them to go into a math-related program thinking their math skills are more advanced than they are without being able to actually solve something this simple.
