When a child becomes dysregulated, has a tantrum, or sits/lies on the floor to avoid a transition or communicate a need, our team is trained to respond calmly and safely—never by dragging or pulling the child by the hands. Instead, we focus on understanding the behavior, maintaining safety, offering appropriate support, and using safe handling techniques when physical assistance is genuinely required. Our Team Of Certified Autism Specialists regularly trains our team on these practical skills, and our staff participate in weekly training and professional development sessions conducte at SAC and SAC Nexus School.
