This isn’t correct. If you are selling a PUT at $36 and it’s above that number the contract will expire worthless and you collect the full premium for the week. You would only possibly roll it if say it went to $35.50 you could roll it at $36 or roll it lower if you wanted

I did the exact same thing. I had a $38 put that was going to expire worthless, so I rolled it down to $37.5 and collected about $80 in premium per contract.
