I married a broke man but he now has a very successful business. but I do agree to a point. because why would a woman marry someone who cant take care of her and future children? sure if a woman wants to work while pregnant and when the kids are very small thats obviously fine but I personally didnt want to. I havent had a job in 8 years. my kids are 6 and 7 years old and im just now going to start working again

This but the issue is we’ve changed the definition of broke. Today’s definition of broke is anything not in the top 1%. When you consider an average guy in an average city making a modest income but has stability “broke” that’s the issue. Because statistically there arent enough “rich” men for the the amount of women in the country. Unfortunately the economy is terrible that unless you are a 1% earner if you want a comfortable living both partners will have to work. Or you can be a SAHM but feel broke.
