as a tiler myself......why do you always end up with a small cut at the top? personally I would have reduced the size of the starter tile to make it more even and reduce waste.

What most people see... is the final look, and it's good, I'll give you that. However, you mentioned that the prep job must be good too, and now I see tiles going on paint, tiles going on a bonding coat, and tiles going into a wet area without tanking. Moreover, the tray went straight onto floorboards? That is unacceptable.😳

As a bathroom fitter, i would have matched the tile on all walls, and have had a smaller tile at bottom to match the top tile
