hey I'm local to you, it's pretty simple to get the body cam footage and you won't even need to physically go anywhere to get it, you can actually go online and submit the request for it, and or you can actually call the responding Police Department and request their records they'll transfer you over who is in charge of the records let them know what is being requested and why, the why should only be that you were involved in it and it's needed for insurance or litigation purposes I might leave out those two last two parts but that you are involved in it so you want to copy hell you can say for educational purposes if you need to.. they'll send you some paperwork via email fill it out send it back since it is body cam footage it may end up costing you no more than probably $30 or nothing at all. I went through something extremely similar last month in regards to getting police records and documentation and shit like that. I know on the form that I submitted it had a website that you can go to and actually just do the report online I don't know if that will work for all of the area police departments or just the county which is where I was when it happened because I know that you are technically in the city. good luck though

Typical Metro PD. Don’t plan on getting it anytime soon. I had to file the sunshine law for a report. Took three months.

I got assaulted last week while walking my 2 hospice rescue dogs by an intoxicated driver i told to slow down. Police showed up but because I couldnt produce proof right then they wouldn't arrest the guy. I am disabled. I got video of it from the park manager. Gave it to the police and I said I wanted to press charges. Cop hasn't done anything. People only saw me on top of the dude after I over powered him. Video pinned on my page
