Never get a will. You need a revocable trust . Wills still put your family through probate court. Trust bypasses everything. A will doesn’t stop a family member who doesn’t deserve anything from getting stuff. A trust does

Money Momma, great tips. My nightmare is that both my husband and I are both incapacitated at the same time. Example: he was in the hospital/rehab for about 2 months; my worst fear was me getting into a car accident during that time! Would a DPOA help me - I ask because I have no family, and honestly, my neighbors/friends are older or in poorer health than I am. I am 71 years old.
