my philosophy is this; if one person in the relationship doesn't care how something is done and the other person is super particular than it should be done the super particular way. there's some things that i don't really care about that my boyfriend is super particular about so i do it his way and there's something things that my boyfriend doesn't give a shit about how it's done but i'm particular about how it's done so we both do it my way. ie; my boyfriend really cares about the cups being upside down in the cupboard and i could care less so I put the cups in upside down cuz that's how he likes it while i like the towels folded a certain way so he changed how he folded the towels to match me. i don't care how the bed is made, just that it's made while he likes to have the top sheet folded over the top of the duvet so I changed the way I made the bed to match his bed making ways. we can't agree on sock folding technique though so we have separate sock drawers and we are each responsible for folding and putting away our own socks and we're not allowed to open each other's sock drawers.

As a woman this type of post makes me so frustrated. If I was the man, the first time I was corrected for folding something “wrong”, it would be the last time I ever folded something again.
