When we were in Japan, we lived in Hokkaido. During one of our trips, we visited Osaka. If you're travelling from Hokkaido to the mainland, you usually need to take a plane or the shinkansen. Unfortunately, we accidentally left my husband's wallet in Hokkaido airport. It had over ¥100,000 (NZD 1,000) in cash, along with all his cards, IDs, and driver's license. Because of this, I couldn't really enjoy the trip. I felt so stressed and anxious the whole time. His driver's license was especially important because we had left our car at the Hokkaido airport. Replacing the license would take time, and we were worried about the additional parking costs on top of the lost money. I called the airport and airline every day, but there was no good news. So, we decided to report the loss to the Hokkaido police, which was also necessary for him to apply for a new license. Thankfully, just before we boarded the plane back to Hokkaido, we received the best news, the wallet had been found! We picked it up at the airline counter when we arrived, and everything was still inside. We didn’t ask for details about how it was recovered, but we’re just so grateful to have it back. #japan #japanhonesty #fy
