Omg right! Books were so heavily incorporated in the curriculum. I neverrrrr see my kids with books. Book reports, brainstorming diagrams, the circle ones (forgot the name), essays, all surrounding books! Everything is tech tech tech.

I get so much out of reading novels with my fourth graders in comparison to HMH. The engagement is incredible and the conversations are so amazing. You just can’t get that from a scripted curriculum

My third graders LOVED Mr poppers penguins last year! There’s a spin off book too and when they found out they begged for me to read that book next.
