forensic wards are so calm compared to acute or assesment wards because the people been there a long time ago are usually are heavily medicated ... dementia wards have the highest risk of assault

Working on the psych ward isn't for the faint hearted. I did it for many years. I dealt with a-lot that will stay with me forever but I'm happy i had a positive impact on people. Im happy i helped them heal ❤️.

Documentaries like this just increase the stigma that these individuals face in society! These people are very unwell and traumatised. I worked MSU for years and it was my favourite job, if you’re kind to patients you receive kindness back.

I was a RMN, in an ordinary mental hospital, we had our violent patients but we worked as a team. These RMN 's have a really tough job, they are tougher than any prison warder much harder to manipulate them by the inmates

Worked in this area for 2 years, absolutely broke me. It wasn’t the patients, the potential violence every shift, dealing with the most horrific injuries and death. It was the way the system fails these patients. You can never do enough and it’s so sad for them.
