If you love someone who’s showing these signs, or any fight/flight/freeze behaviors, here’s what to do: 1. Tell them you’re there to support them and be patient. Use your words and your body language to say “I’m here with you.” 2. Make sure they’re safe. If they do something to hurt themselves or that could be dangerous, set boundaries or stop the threat. 3. Suggest simple coping skills like deep breathing or grounding. 4. Do these skills WITH them- take those deep breaths, slow movements. Show, don’t just tell. Maybe you can’t take away their trauma overnight- but you can help them feel safe when they show up ❤️Follow to heal together
