Do your kids a favor and move to NoVA, Nor/SoCal, or a big city. Really isolating growing up in the Florida as the only 1-2 Asian kids in class.

my husband makes about the same..we have four kids - we also live in Ohio. I swear 12k is the amount needed to just live with fairly little stress. but I still budget and track every expense.

SAHM in Dayton, 3 kids 4 and under. Our output including donations, investing, and all expenses is about 6,500 a month. Why is your water $100? Ours is $25 a month. Also preschool 1400 a month?? My son is in preschool and it’s 1600 for the whole year!

sounds reasonable to me. these will probably be your most expensive years unless you pay out of pocket for college. just gotta keep your head above water and enjoy these years with young kids as much as you can. sounds like you are using money to make your life better!

I love that you’re helping someone get through college. It is a lot per month, but it should be only a few years. Some people would give money to those less fortunate no matter how much they have, and some never will. I think from these comments you can see who is who.
