The lob is the most underrated shot in padel and the most badly hit — everyone sends it high and short, which is just a smash with extra steps for the other team. Deep and flat-ish, into the sun if it is that time of day, is the one that buys you the net. The part I could not judge on my own was where mine were actually landing, because in your head every lob is deep. Padel AI showed me the real picture from one match, and it was humbling.
