A nun at my Catholic high school told us we’re not allowed to identify as pro-life unless we’re also anti-death penalty, anti-war, pro amnesty, pro environment, even against animal suffering. Life is life. I’m pro choice but have to respect that.

I wrote a paper that even the angel Gabriel asked Mary for consent to carry Jesus. So the implication is that even God wouldn’t force a pregnancy even for His own son. YEARS later, I was in the first communion class for my daughter and raised my hand for something and the sheer terror on Father Jason’s face was definitely a highlight of my life bc I stay a menace to the patriarchy

My Catholic school health class had us write a research paper on subject of our choice—had to be pre-approved by the teacher. I said, “Abortion,” and she approved. Then I write a 5 page pro-abortion paper, pointing out that legal abortion is literally lifesaving.

literally this week I commented somewhere that if my fellow Catholics were truly pro life they'd be just as loud about repealing the second amendment as they are about abortion. wheeeeeeeew

lol I convinced a class of 30 that the death sentence should be bought back. They were so angry with me at first, by the end of the “debate” 3 people were in tears and everyone in agreement… Ooooh then did an extended project along the lines of “are disabled people a drain on society?” the answer being yes. Gosh the whole class was horrified, I tied in my sister and her disability and what that means. The TEACHER was crying by the end of the presentation never mind half the class 🤣 doesn’t matter if someone agrees or not at the end, but they always get a reality check of their morals 🥴
