Please teach the children PROPER fish keeping.. This is a horrid tank for a betta sorority. You need more plants, and to get rid of all of those colorful decor - it can and will stress them out. This is a proper sorority aquarium.

Definitely put in some live plants or silk plants and create some nice hiding spaces ! It’ll help with them finding territory and reducing fighting as females will still get sassy lol but they are beautiful!!

Hiiii!!! Please please please for the sake of these girls, rehome everyone but one!!! They will be soooo much happier, betta splendens have been bred for fighting and color, so being together is EXTREMELY stressful and will shorten their lifespan. Not to mention illnesses that will be brought on by the stress of being together, and them chasing and nipping.

You shouldn’t start a sorority unless you’re an advanced fish keeper with experience. You need to run the tank for at least two weeks before putting fish in. The flow is wayyyy too strong. They will end up fighting. Can you do an update? Usually it’s best to get female bettas who already have been living together in the same tank from the pet store. Also a rule of thumb is you don’t want to be able to see the other side of the tank if you’re looking from the side. It literally needs that many plants and hiding spots so incase they do fight their line of sight is blocked. Hope this helps.

Hey girly! Betta fish need natural stuff like drift wood, plants, maybe even duck weed. The fake plastic plants can rip their tale and also the paint on the decor is toxic for the fish. Please make sure the food you give them doesn’t have wheat either. Also I don’t think bettas can be in a tank with each other. I’m not quite sure though. I’m sorry if I came off rude! I truly just want these fish to thrive!!!

Hey girl! Advice here, add a million plants (real or fake) you want to try to give them lots of hiding spots from eachother since they may start to fight, I’ve found that if you get a lot of taller plants it blocks them from being able to see eachother so they don’t even realize they are there, I have 2 sorority tanks for almost a year now w no ☠️! This is just what worked for me! Feel free to message me!

i would add more plants and hiding spots so they can have their own space, the tank shape is good because they have lots of horizontal swim space but sororities need 20 gallons minimum

Obviously everyone has said the same thing so you get it 😭 but I just wanted to add that you can sometimes find people getting rid of plants on fb marketplace for pretty cheap! There’s lots of ways to get them and add to your tank over time. Silky fake plants can also be a good option since they’re soft and can’t be as harmful to the babes with longer fins

a heads up for your sorority! you’ll need a TON more plants and sticks- this makes sure that your bettas have breaks in their lines of sight and can mark their own territories, it’s highly recommended to go all natural because plastics leak chemicals and can cut fins, make sure to have backup tanks/spaces just in case if they end up fighting bc bettas ARE solitary !! they can coexist but it’s usually very hard and not at all recommended due to the stress it caused each fish
