Geʽez : ወተቀበልዎ መላእክት በስብሐት ወበማኅሌት፤ ወአብእዎ ኢየሩሳሌም ሰማያዊተ። አብእዋ ለተክለ ሃይማኖት። Latin Transliteration : Wete’qebe’liwo mela’ikti be’sbhat webe’mahiliet, we’ab’i’wo iyeru’saliem se’maya’wit. Abi’iwa le’TekleHaymanot. English : And the angels received him with praise and with hymnody, and brought him into the heavenly Jerusalem. They guided Abba Tekle Haymanot in. Amharic : መላእክት በምስጋናና በማኅሌት ተቀበሉት፤ ወደ ሰማያዊቱ ኢየሩሳሌምም አስገቡት። አባ ተክለ ሃይማኖትን አስገቡት። Tigrinya : መላእኽቲ ብምስጋናን ብማኅሌትን ተቐበልዎ፤ ናብ ሰማያዊት ኢየሩሳሌምውን ኣእተውዎ። ኣባ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ኣእተውዎ። Liturgical Meaning : This Zema describes the repose and heavenly reception of Abba Tekle Haymanot. The angels receive him with praise and Mahiliet and bring him into the heavenly Jerusalem, showing that the death of the righteous is understood as an entrance into heavenly life with God. The final line identifies the saint directly: Abba Tekle Haymanot is the one being received and brought into the heavenly Jerusalem.
