I have meta glasses and my kids know that they can record and send messages. I tell them I will record their behavior and send it to their parents. So yes it works.

I teach high school. One of the things I go over on the first day of school is that I AM the craziest person in the room and they can test that if they’re brave enough. It works surprisingly well. 🤣 I told a student the other day that I was going to call his mama. He said, “you won’t.” Worst mistake ever. I called and put her on speakerphone in front of the whole class.

I saw another teacher doing Wheel of Fate, so now I do Wheel of Fate. On a random day, I spin the wheel, and the students name it lands on gets a call home to report the day that student had. Could have been a great day, could have been a terrible day. However you acted is what gets reported. 🤷🏼♀️you decide your fate every day. And I only choose one day a month

Love it! I’ve actually been using an app that dictates what I say and if you speak to students multiple times, it tracks it and actually will draft an email to send to the parents both good and bad. It’s kind of awesome. ☺️

I just write their parents cell phone number down. The tell them to take it to the phone and call their parent to let them know they’re disrupting their classmates learning.

I hold up my phone with my camera on and tell them I’m videoing in the hallway and if they don’t act right in line I’ll send it to their parents and I can assign consequences based on what my camera pics up….
