Not really. The gap between, for example, the PS4 and PS5 were monumental. The gap between the PS5 - PS6 isn’t going to be nearly as big. Sure they can add more power and a better CPU for better performance, but that makes games look and perform better, it doesn’t give you a ton of more features. We have games like fable and gta 6 that are visually complete so in the next 5 years i doubt any game studio can come out with a game that requires more power

The PS5 Pro is already an overkill machine, along with the pricing based on hardware and component restrictions, i don’t see a PS6 selling very well, at least within the next 3 years, we’ve yet to really tap into a FULL library of current gen games.

Yes. No one wants to run next gen AAA games on 7 year old hardware getting 30fps

I literally just bought a ps5 this year, the ps4 was fine until now I could play all online games and 99% of the best campaign games like cyberpunk and Elden ring. I won't need a ps6 for at least 10 years.

cheap in comparison to smart phones. people spending 1000s on phones so you know regardless of the price... people will pay and be happy "renting" games

I’m on ps4 and I don’t think I’m upgrading anytime soon, I don’t care if the graphics are better or it runs more smoothly, I want to play games and for the exclusives ps5 offers spending at least 500€ is not worth it

🚫🧢 :
The Playstation was always designed to be a loss leader to make it more attractive compared to a PC. Now it's in the 800 range, like 60 bucks a year to play online (420 dollars in a 7 years lifecycle) no browser, no disk. Everybody has a 400-500 dollar pc, just invest your playstation money in a 1.3K PC and you got a beast.
