@funwiththejohnsons: Almost 20 years of friendship and now our kids have inherited it. 🥹 My eldest goddaughter recently had QUESTIONS. She was trying to figure out how we all became family. And listen, I understand the confusion. 😂 But her mama, auntie, and I are almost 20 years into this friendship. Very early on we stopped being friends and just became family. We’ve grown through different seasons together, watched each other become women and mothers, and now we get to watch our babies grow up together. So are they technically cousins? No. Are they cousins? Absolutely. And I will not be taking further questions at this time. There’s something really special about friendships that last long enough for your children to inherit them. They get more people who love them, more memories, more aunties, more cousins and a village that was chosen long before they were even here. Blood made some of our family.
