I think the Clancy Trial is going to end with the Mom going to a psychiatric hospital and receiving the postpartum care that she needs and the necessary care while grieving the death of her children, and in the time that she is in there, investigators are going to pursue the correct charges against the father and put him away for life. In the end of it all once he is put away, she will be released from the psychiatric hospital, rehabilitated, and ready to take on her new life.

I think and not sure if this has been said, he drugged her sliced her up and locked her in the bedroom, he then went down to kill the children, she came to and managed to escape the bedroom window, he then came down to “find her” after getting the food. Hence why her temp was so low, hence why there was no way of saving the kids as it had been about max 30 mins since they could only get one heartbeat back. Also he spent longer going to get the food probably to try and prove his alibi. Came home realised she was still alive, then rang the police but was so long to call them cause he didn’t think she’d still be alive so had to change his plan and script.
