As a little girl, I remember seeing late night hosts tell sexists jokes about Dolly’s boobs. That was my primary association with her for a long time until I began to under her impact as a musician—and not until well into adulthood. I’m really glad she’s now remembered more as a brilliant artists, great philanthropist, and kind person.

About 30 miles south from where I grew up there were was a nuclear plant on the coast with 2 domes. It was always referred to as the Dolly Parton. Stupid sexist dad joke.
