The dog stars book was just meh. What I think of as science fiction for people who don’t really like reading science fiction. I’m not surprised the movie is not great. Won’t waste my time.

It Ends was absolutely dreadful. A slow burn with no payoff at the end. Felt like I wasted 90 minutes. I can understand there is a target audience for that type of movie, I’m just not one of them. I definitely side with the audience score on rotten tomatoes for that one (currently at 48%).

The Dog Stars the book is one of the best there is. The most surprising part of the book is how it’s written. I can’t imagine how the prose translates onscreen.
