I'd definitely go with a bearded dragon. Bearded dragons enjoy being held more. Leopard geckos will fight each other. Most reptiles are solitary unless you are breeding them. Even then they still need to be separated!

do not put multiple leopard geckos in one enclosure. they will kill eachother. they are VERY territorial.

I have 2 females that stay together never had a problem you just need to make sure you have appropriate space and hides for them ! I also don’t feed in the tank if they are close to each other !

Highly recommend getting a beardie rather than a Leo! Much more handleable! I’ve been bit by my leopard geckos…never my bearded dragon. Bearded dragons also tolerate daily handling sessions (which are also recommended) which is great for kids whereas leopard geckos not so much lol

I’d recommend a bearded dragon over a leopard gecko. I own both and my Leo’s care is for sure simpler but my dragon is way more handle able. He loves going places and always makes friends with people. My Leo would much rather hang out in his hide until it’s dark. Dragons are more intelligent and have way more personality

For this size of a tank I would recommend a bearded dragon. Your kids can still handle them and they wont be aggressive. Very cool animals

you said for some leopard geckos??? they cant be housed together. 1 gecko per tank they are solitary creatures and will unalive each other or just dominate each other and be stressed 247. please only put 1 in there.

Please do not put them together and that is way too big for leopard geckos. I’m gonna keep saying this please don’t house them together, please it’s very dangerous to have them together they can kill each other
