Genuinely it has to be one oc the most annoying things. I have tics and people at school mock me just to make me tic and it often leads to a tic attack.

You're 💯 right. I can't even lie, I've joked about it before, and that wasn't right for me to do. I apologize if I offended you Shay and others...I know i said I wish I had it at work. People get on my nerves bad where I work..yet its not an excuse. I know that I won't do it again.

I hate those jokes about “technology-Tourette” when people are talking about being frustrated by technology and therefore curse at it. It’s so common. (It is funny when my tics do curse at someone I don’t like, but only because I am lucky to have some control over my tics and therefore they happen at a lower volume so it doesn’t reach whoever it is directed at, usually people being inconsiderate in public or Right wing people, at least that’s when it’s funny)

I realized that if I wanted to hear God more clearly, I needed to make room for Him. Intimacy with God is cultivated through time, prayer, Scripture, worship, gratitude, and obedience. 1. I STARTED MY MORNINGS WITH GOD Before checking my phone or talking to anyone, I simply say: “Good morning, God 😊😍. Thank you for another day.” I learned to give God the first part of my day. Psalm 5:3 says “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice.” Before the world gets my attention, I give God mine. 2. I CREATED A SECRET PLACE I created a quiet place in my home where I meet God regularly to pray, worship, read Scripture, cry, listen, and have honest conversations with Him. Matthew 6:6 says, “Go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father.” The secret place became less about a physical location and more about cultivating intimacy with God. 3. I STOPPED MAKING PRAYER A PERFORMANCE I stopped thinking I had to shout to be heard. I began having conversations with my Father. I talk to Him honestly, then I pause and listen. Matthew 6:7 teaches us not to think we will be heard because of many words. Prayer became less about saying many things and more about being present with God. 4. I EMBRACED SEXUAL PURITY I chose to abstain from sexual intimacy until marriage because I want to honor God with my body. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 says our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we should honor God with our bodies. Purity is not about earning God's love. It is a response to His love. 1 Thessalonians 4:3–4 teaches us to pursue holiness and honor God with our bodies. 5. I ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR UNDERSTANDING BEFORE READING SCRIPTURE Before Bible study, I pray. “Holy Spirit, give me wisdom, understanding and revelation. Show me what I need to learn and help me apply it.” John 14:26 says the Holy Spirit teaches and reminds us of what Jesus said. I stopped reading just to finish chapters. I started reading to know God and be transformed by His Word. 6. I USE THE SOAP METHOD S — Scripture: What verse stands out? O — Observation: What is this passage saying? What does it reveal about God? A — Application: What must change in my life? P — Prayer: I turn what I have learned into prayer. James 1:22 says, “Do not merely listen to the word... Do what it says.” The goal isn't simply knowing more Scripture; it's becoming more obedient. 7. I WORSHIP THROUGH MUSIC I worship through songs, singing, lifting my hands, kneeling, or simply sitting in God's presence. Psalm 95:6 says, “Come, let us bow down in worship.” But I also learned that worship is more than music. Romans 12:1 teaches that offering our lives to God is true worship. How I live, speak, love, forgive, and obey can all become worship. 8. I STARTED PRACTICING GRATITUDE I stopped making every prayer a list of requests and started thanking God for what I already have. “Father, thank You for life. Thank You for keeping me. Thank You for Your grace.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 — “Give thanks in all circumstances.” I still bring my needs to God, but I don't want God's hand more than I want His heart. 9. I STOPPED COMPLAINING Instead of constantly asking, “Why is this happening to me?” I started asking: “Lord, what are You teaching me through this?” Philippians 2:14 says, “Do everything without grumbling.” I learned to take my pain to God instead of feeding the complaint. 10. I TAKE PRAYER WALKS Sometimes I leave my phone behind and simply walk and talk with God. I pray, worship, think, listen, or sit quietly. Luke 5:16 says Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. In a world full of noise and notifications, I sometimes need to disconnect from everything else so I can reconnect with God. WHAT STARTED CHANGING? I didn't become perfect. But I have become more sensitive. But I also learned to test what I hear against Scripture. The goal is to know His heart, love Him, obey Him, and become more like Christ. #surrenderedtoGod #FaithfulGod #grace
