Oh my God this is so true… I was a practicing lawyer for 35 years. Every time anyone I knew got in trouble, they came to me and they expected me to do it for free, or pro bono. Do you understand that if I work on your case, that means I can’t work on cases that pay… You’re stealing from me

This is my biggest pet peeve at work! People come in and demand to get in the door for free or they weren't discounts on stuff and they throw around the owner and the manager's names. my thing is if these are really your friends, why don't you want to support your friends job? Why don't you want to support the business where your friend works because you supporting that business guarantees they'll have a job. do you call Rihanna up and be like I want a discount on lipstick? does anybody call Jeff Bezos and ask him for a discount? have you ever tried to get into Disney for free because you know somebody that works there? So why do we give all our money to mega corporations but the small business that your friend owns or works at you want a discount? It's because they're not your friend! If they truly were your friend you would be happy to pay full price and you wouldn't even tell them you were there until after the bill was paid!
