After 2 years in childcare I’ve learned that being gentle doesn’t always work especially when that’s all some kids get at home. I work with 2’s , they’re completely capable of understanding and following directions. They just need consistent redirection the challenge isn’t understanding it’s getting them to do something they don’t want to. 😭 I hate when teachers come in & treat them like they’re infants.

LOL, THIS is what’s wrong with some employees who work with children. 😭 Like… why are we judging parents for “gentle parenting” instead of learning how to work with the child in front of us? We chose this field to teach, guide, redirect, nurture, and support children—not sit around critiquing how their parents choose to parent. You don’t have to agree with every parenting style. But figuring out how to work WITH it while the child is in your care is literally part of the job. 🤷🏽♀️Some of y’all really need to remember: we work with children, not against their parents. Period. 😂

My co teacher is to nice and is part of why they act bad. When she’s not there they don’t act out as bad but as soon a she comes in for the day they wanna act crazy
